Welcome to SugarPies Cheesecakes, LLC – home of Detroit’s most deliciously creamy, homemade cheesecakes.

Founded in 2018 by Detroit native and proud mother of four, Shaneen Jones, SugarPies was born out of love, legacy, and a lifelong passion for baking. Shaneen’s desire to cook began as a child, watching her grandmother whip up mouthwatering meals in the kitchen. What started as a childhood fascination turned into a meaningful necessity as she began cooking for her own family. Along the way, baking—especially cheesecakes—became her true culinary calling.

 

In 2016, Shaneen became a first-time grandmother to her daughter’s twin girls, Dallas and Dakota. Affectionately calling them her “SugarPies” because of their irresistible sweetness, the nickname became the perfect name for her irresistible desserts. From family dinners to friends’ gatherings, her cheesecakes quickly became a crowd favorite—and soon, a business.

Today, SugarPies Cheesecakes is proud to serve the metro Detroit and surrounding areas with handcrafted cheesecakes made from scratch with love and only the freshest ingredients.

How It All Started! 

From Kitchen Curiosity to Cheesecake Delight :)

"From a young age, I was drawn to the kitchen, mesmerized by my grandmother as she effortlessly whipped up delicious dishes. Her passion sparked something in me, and what began as curiosity quickly grew into a deep love for cooking.

 

As I became a parent, cooking transformed from a hobby into a necessity—feeding four hungry children required creativity, heart, and a lot of practice. Over time, my passion naturally expanded into baking, and that’s when I discovered my true love: cheesecake. Of all the desserts I’ve made, New York Cheesecake stood out as my favorite to perfect and serve.

 

What started as a treat for my family quickly spread to friends, and eventually, to others in the community. I’m now incredibly grateful and excited to share this gift—my rich, creamy, and irresistibly delicious New York Cheesecake—with sweet tooths everywhere."
